Once completed, check answers by making, combining and counting the total of the brick stack.Learning outcomes%u2022 We are learning to make and combine sets to find the total%u2022 We are learning to match the total to the correct answerProcedureThis is an activity to check if children are confident with mental arithmetic and to see if they are getting to know their addition facts pairs within totals to 10.The teacher calls out: What does 3 plus 2 make?The children do the mental calculation and choose the answer card that they think is the total e.g. 5.
