01 - AI Pedagogy & the PLC In module 1, we pay particular attention to the concept of the "synergistic augmentation paradigm" between the teacher and AI as cited in the OECD Digital Education Outlook (2026). This fascinating vision for the future of education is based on striving for "augmented competence that is greater than the maximum of an individual human or AI alone". Prompt engineering is an important aspect of effective engagement with AI. We look at a number of different models. We recap the most effective Generative AI tools and how to refine prompts iteratively to produce the best AI outputs, which are then applied in various ways to support teaching, learning, and assessment of the PLC in 3rd and 4th classes. Teachers also engage with AI tools in an iterative, informed process to create and support PLC-aligned learning experiences in the topic areas for 3rd and 4th class, including the writing process, procedural writing, report writing, narrative writing, and poetry; oral language activities; vocabulary development; guided reading and poetry. |

02 - AI Mastery & STEM In this module, we focus extensively on professional judgement (the "teacher in the loop" model) as an essential prerequisite for effective use of AI. The potential for AI to make mistakes (hallucinate) is explored in the context of how we use professional oversight to ensure accurate outcomes. We demonstrate various Generative AI tools and how to refine prompts iteratively to produce the best outputs, which are then applied in various ways to support teaching, learning and assessment of the Primary Maths Curriculum in 3rd and 4th classes. This is action-based learning on using AI with teacher oversight and control. The use of AI to support the implementation of key pedagogical practices in maths teaching is explored in detail. Teachers also engage with AI tools in an iterative, informed process to create and support PMC-aligned learning experiences in the topic areas for 3rd and 4th class, including mathematical operations. We also examine how AI can support assessment in the science curriculum. We explore how AI can support personalised learning by designing customised lessons and resources responsive to individual learning needs, as identified in the DEY Guidance on Artificial Intelligence in Schools (2025). The potential of AI to support differentiated learning strategies aligned with the primary mathematics curriculum progression continua is explored and demonstrated. |

03 - AI Proficiency & the SEE Curriculum This module continues to enable teachers to build their professional mastery of AI for optimal and augmented use. We cover the importance of AI Literacy and the ethical considerations that underpin the use of AI in Education. We demonstrate various Generative AI tools and how to refine prompts iteratively to produce the best outputs, which are then applied in various ways to support teaching, learning, and assessment of the SEE Curriculum (2025) in 3rd and 4th classes. This is action-based learning on using AI with teacher oversight and control. We show teachers how to use AI to engage with the SEE Curriculum (2025) and how to create a yearly plan for 3rd and 4th Class. Teachers also engage with AI tools in an iterative, informed process to create and support SEE-aligned learning experiences in History & Geography for 3rd and 4th Class. We explore how AI can support personalised learning by designing customised lessons and resources responsive to individual learning needs. The potential for AI to support the design and development of integrated learning across the curricula is explored and demonstrated. |

04 - AI Expertise & the Wellbeing Curriculum Meeting the principles of UDL with the help of AI tools is demonstrated in the context of a unit from the Wellbeing curriculum. We demonstrate various Generative AI tools and how to refine prompts iteratively to produce engaging learning experiences, which are then applied to support teaching, learning, and assessment of the Wellbeing Curriculum (2025) in 3rd and 4th classes. We show teachers how to use an AI prompting process that refines with human input at each cycle to create a yearly Wellbeing plan for 3rd and 4th class. Teachers also use AI tools in an iterative, informed process to create and support learning experiences in the Wellbeing Curriculum for 3rd and 4th class. We explore how AI can support the creation of assessments to determine if learning outcomes in the Wellbeing curriculum have been met. Given the huge variation in sporting abilities, differentiation and personalised learning activities are particularly important when PE activities are used to support learning outcomes from the 'movement competence' strand. We explore how teachers can use AI tools to help here. |

05 - AI Creativity & the Arts Education Curriculum AI Professional Mastery to support teaching, learning and assessment in the Arts Education Curriculum. We review the framework as a whole and reflect on how it has influenced teachers' perspectives on AI and how they have progressed on their journey towards 'augmented competence' (OECD, 2026) We demonstrate various Generative AI tools and how to refine prompts iteratively to produce engaging learning experiences, which are then applied to support teaching, learning and assessment of the Arts Education Curriculum (2025) in 3rd and 4th class. This is action-based learning on using AI with teacher oversight and control. We show teachers how to use an AI prompting process that refines with human input at each cycle to create a yearly Arts Education plan for 3rd and 4th class. Teachers also use AI tools in an iterative informed process to create and support learning experiences in the Arts Education Curriculum (Art, Drama and Music) for 3rd and 4th class. We explore how AI can support the creation of assessments to determine if learning outcomes from selected topics in the Arts Education curriculum have been met. |
